Council #6878 Charity Golf Tournament

Dear Friends, Sponsors and Business Associates,

This is my 30th year chairing the Humble Council #6878 Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament hosted at Oakhurst Golf Club in Porter, Texas.  This year’s event is on Saturday October 10, 2026 at 8:00am / Save the Date / Max 144 players!  Many of you have been hole sponsors of $200 or more as well as players for this event.

My goal is to exceed the $70,000 + net profit that this tournament has raised over the past few years.

I thank each and everyone of you for helping over 50 charities that the Knights of Columbus support.
(Special Olympics, Camp Hope, Wheelchair Mission, Family Time, Family Promise, HAAM, Veterans Assistance, Life House Charity for Housing Pregnant Women to name a few.)

I look forward to talking to and seeing each of you as we come closer to this event.  Please respond as soon as possible to confirm your continued support again this year!

Attached you will find 2026 Sponsorship Form and 2026 Player Registration Form (please return forms via email as soon as possible).

I thank you in advance for your generosity.

Take care and God bless!

Douglas Scherr, KofC Golf Event Chair, Valence Operating Co, CFO
