Knights of Columbus

Galveston-Houston Chapter

Galveston-Houston Young Adults is the official young adult organization for the Galveston-Houston Chapter.  The mission of the organization is to improve the membership experience of young men in their 20s and 30s.

Following college, members transition from college councils to parish councils, which can be a culture shock.  Older members, different community needs, and a deeper entrenched way of doing things can throw off a young member who is used to a college atmosphere.  GHYA provides a supplementary level of involvement to help bring about some of the comradery, innovation, and technologically-friendly operations of a college environment.

Our Leadership team consists of:
President: Steven Henderson
Vice President: Don Thomas
Secretary: Robert Truong
Treasurer: Luke Stuckey

Beyond assisting with recruiting and retention efforts, GHYA organizes monthly socials and quarterly service events to bring young men and women together outside of traditional Knights of Columbus programming.  In addition, quarterly family events are held to engage those with young kids, enabling them to have a safe space to grow with other families of faith.

Our team meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Spring Branch Wingstop located at I-10 and Blalock.  Our monthly social is typically held on the second Thursday of each month, or around that time as events permit.
