S.K. Joe D. Gutierrez, PGK, PFN, DD Chapter President J.D. is a 3rd degree member of the Reverend John T. Weyer Council #11343 and a 4th degree member of Bishop John L. Morkovsky Assembly #2243. J.D. has also served as Deputy Grand Knight, Grand Knight, Faithful Captain, Faithful Navigator and Faithful Admiral. Under J.D.’s leadership, the council and assembly achieved Star Council and Star Assembly. The council was also awarded Council of the Year for Galveston-Houston in 2020. As District Deputy of Texas District 79, all four councils under his stewardship achieved Star Council and Star District status in 2022 - 2023. All exceeded the goals and objectives for Star District and Star Council. At the Chapter level, J.D. has served as Chapter Delegate, Chapter Secretary, Chapter Vice President, Chapter Convention Committee Chair, Clergy Appreciation Night Chairman and State Committeeman for Star Council Committee. J.D. married Sylvia Samaniego in 2004 and have five children: Danielle, Anthony, Christian, Kyra and Caleb. They are proud grandparents to Zachariah and Topanga. JD and Sylvia reside in Sugar Land, TX and have been parishioners at St. Laurence Catholic Church since 2003 where he currently serves on the St. Laurence Discipleship Council. JD is a graduate of the University of Houston. He holds an Associate, Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degree in Executive Leadership and works full-time as an energy executive in the oil and gas industry. |
